It doesn’t take much for equipment to get started. Your home computer must be able to play audio files and most companies use transcription software that is available for free. Having a good set of computer headphones will help you better hear your audio files. Unfortunately I’d be lying if I told you we didn’t see technical errors from time to time at Skooli. However, the few technical errors we do encounter are easily addressed. By ensuring your browser is up to date and you’ve given the right permissions to access your microphone and camera, you’ll be up and running in most online classrooms no problem. At Skooli, we find that Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are the easiest browsers to use, while Safari, Edge, and Internet Explorer are a little trickier to navigate.
