I'm only a quarter into this book but felt compelled to put it down and leave a rave review. The book is top notch. So many ebooks nowadays seem to be thrown together to make a buck by someone who you can quickly tell has no actual experience. This book is the opposite of that - it's based on lots of excellent real life experience and it's chock-a-block full of how-tos, excellent resources, advice and more. As has been mentioned, the repeated attempts to sell his courses to the reader are unnecessary - really the author makes the case for his courses without any hard sell so needn't repeat it multiple times. And the formatting of images is wonky on my Kindle with the image overlaying the text in many places. Small quibbles though given the meaty content of this book. I'm bookmarking page after page and am delighted with my purchase. Highly recommended!
That being said, there are still a few red flags when it comes to using technology for hire, and those are email or instant messaging. Any hiring manager or boss worth their salt is not going to conduct a job interview via instant message or email. Most often, you might be initially contacted by email, but after that, you should still have a phone or video interview—or both.
I forgot to also share that I will be starting work with On Point as an Advocacy Coordinator too. It sounds like a great job that helps our fellow Americans keep informed about political issues. On Point is the voice of the average citizens that may have an opinion to share with their politicians but have no way of knowing how to contact them. On Point makes sure those voices get heard. In orientation the trainer said she will be hiring agents again around the middle of June. If you have good writing skills and are a good conversationalist then you may want to check it out. It also seems like if you put forth a little effort, you can make decent wages with them and they do pay weekly. I’m not big into politics but excited about this new venture.
This author has obviously done a few courses, but since the lack of editing reads like a first draft, this book was difficult to read. I read over half of the book before I could not take the constant affiliate links to his "how to" program, but when there were a dozen type o's in a row, I quit reading. Phil, I am sorry for my candor. I hope you edited your videos better than you edited your book. You could have had a really great book here, instead you have what seems like a half baked marketing tool to gain organic traffic to your courses so you can achieve a higher commission. (Instructors get higher commission for bringing in their own students - which is why he has a link to his course on every page)

I started out simply attending SI for BIOS 110 as a freshman and loved it so much that I used it for as many courses as I could afterward! These also included my general Chemistry courses, CHEM 121 and CHEM 124. I started working at the Student Success Center as a tutor and SI instructor last summer. After almost a year of working, I have led SI sessions for BIOS 101, 110, and 120, and I have held study sessions for CHEM 124. Having gone through these courses myself and attended SI for my own benefit, I strongly encourage all to take advantage of the Student Success Center's services.
