I have been tutoring with Louisiana State University Shreveport for one semester, but have been leading group study sessions since my freshmen year of college. I first encountered the Student Success Center in the fall of 2017 when I attended a Supplemental Instruction Session for Organic Chemistry I. I found the sessions so helpful in allowing me to further understand the difficult concepts of the course through metacognitive intervention that I attended every session after that. The results of attending those sessions reflected in my grades, and I passed the course with an A. Not only did I receive helpful instruction through the Student Success Center, my confidence in my academic ability grew as well. I wanted to offer this same helpfulness and confidence to my peers, so I sought to tutor for the Student Success Center to use the same learning strategies that helped me to help my peers.

That being said, there are still a few red flags when it comes to using technology for hire, and those are email or instant messaging. Any hiring manager or boss worth their salt is not going to conduct a job interview via instant message or email. Most often, you might be initially contacted by email, but after that, you should still have a phone or video interview—or both.

From my own experience, I’ve used Textbroker to make quick cash for bills. They pay every week on Fridays and if you work a lot every day, you can usually have a substantial amount accumulated by the end of the week — definitely more than the $10 cash out threshold. The only bad thing there is you never know how much work they’ll have up to grab from the order board. But I would say that for me Textbroker has been an excellent source for getting bill money together when I need it quick. Amazon Mturk is another idea. You can cash out there at just $1 and it transfers to your bank account. There is an entire sub-forum about Mturk over at the Work Place Like Home forum where people discuss the best tasks to accept to make the most money. Mturk has a reputation for being just an extra money option, but I know for a fact there are some people making more than just extra money over there.
...Degree in Applied Physics. My research emphasis was planetary science, which allowed me to become very involved with the U.S.G.S. My planetary studies required me to not only focus on the physics of planets, but also on their geology. As such, I have a broad range of academic backgrounds, including astronomy, astrobiology, field geology, and geomorphology. I've even assisted in research at the Sudbury Impact Structure in Ontario, Canada and attended numerous scientific conferences. During...
A bachelor’s program will be broken down into sections. The first years of your education consists of general education, core English classes, and electives in lower division courses. The next phase will be the same only in upper division work. The final phase will be the teaching program. This portion will consist of pedagogy and your teaching internship. An additional master’s program will typically include core coursework as well as a master’s thesis.

This alternate path typically allows you to earn a full-time teaching position and salary while you take classes.
If your child is struggling with chemistry, I can relate. I spent my entire childhood certain that I wanted to be a doctor. What ultimately prevented me from pursuing that dream were my persistent struggles with chemistry. Try as I might, I was simply unable to put the concepts together in a way that generated a coherent understanding of this difficult subject.
