Before Growing Stars, my marks were pretty good, but not stellar. I wanted to get high marks and ensure easy admission into Engineering. The time commitment for instructors varies, as new faculty come to the course with varying levels of familiarity using learning management systems (such as D2L’s Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas or Moodle) and varying levels of classroom experience. This author has obviously done a few courses, but since the lack of editing reads like a first draft, this book was difficult to read. I read over half of the book before I could not take the constant affiliate links to his "how to" program, but when there were a dozen type o's in a row, I quit reading. All new applicants to the certificate program who are considering beginning the program with any of the other courses should note the required prerequisites must first be completed. EDUC 40989 Introduction to Teaching Online and EDUC 40990 Foundations of Curriculum Design and Evaluation are required prerequisites for all the other courses throughout the program.
