Fay — I have a few posts up that list ways to get fast cash, but if you’re looking for bill money, those might not help much because the things I listed there are mostly good for gas money, pizza money, etc. Just a little extra. I know that with the phone positions there’s often a few weeks or more worth of wait time while you’re getting a background check done, training, and so forth. The sales positions (things like Helios, which has actually received negative feedback lately from some of my readers) could probably have you up and working and making money quickly. I do have a post on this blog covering Helios. But not everyone likes sales, so that may not be the route you’d want to take.

Have you always dreamt of teaching children or young adults but never gotten around to it? Perhaps you've just graduated from school and you're wondering if teaching is your calling. Or maybe you're a born traveler looking to discover new parts of the world while giving back to the community. If any of those cases sounds familiar, volunteering as an English teacher abroad is exactly what you are looking for.
This author has obviously done a few courses, but since the lack of editing reads like a first draft, this book was difficult to read. I read over half of the book before I could not take the constant affiliate links to his "how to" program, but when there were a dozen type o's in a row, I quit reading. Phil, I am sorry for my candor. I hope you edited your videos better than you edited your book. You could have had a really great book here, instead you have what seems like a half baked marketing tool to gain organic traffic to your courses so you can achieve a higher commission. (Instructors get higher commission for bringing in their own students - which is why he has a link to his course on every page)

I am relatively new to tutoring here at LSUS, but I find it quite enjoyable. Every student is capable of doing well in their classes, but sometimes they just need a little push to understand everything. I am happy to help students realize what they are able to do and show them that they can conquer any course. Students often say they are weak in math or just don't get it, but I say they can solve the problems and so can you.
Consider seeking out fellow students who could use a proofreader before submitting their next paper. Keep in mind that proofreading is far less “hands-on” than editing. You would not be making extensive corrections to other students’ papers for them, but rather becoming the second set of eyes to point out errors or inconsistencies in their assignment before it goes in for official grading.
Although there will often be a curriculum or a theme in place, there is still a lot of room for creativity. Students, especially children learn quickly when immersed in a language and they benefit from fun and informal activities such as songs, movement games and creative exercises . Hence your daily work will never get boring! These are some of the tasks and responsibilities you can expect when you work and teach English abroad:

Attorneys preparing for trial often create a mock jury to get feedback from individuals similar to those who may eventually sit on a jury. Since it can be costly to do in this in person in the community where the trial, cheaper online jurors are the logical alternative. They might listen to audio and view video presentations, or read the material and answer questions.

However, all of these problems can be curbed if the tutor wants to work to solve them. With the right device, browser, internet connection, and online tutoring platform in place, a tutor can say goodbye to technical issues, can create personal connections with students, and can allow the online tutoring platform to handle finding new students for them.
SNHU online courses are pre-designed. Courses are developed in advance with common outcomes/objectives for all students taking a particular course. This also gives our faculty the time to focus their attention on students, working with individuals who need additional assistance and adding their own resources as they see appropriate to enhance student comprehension.

Mix one chemistry tutor with one struggling student and what do you get? Success! Tutoring from someone who fits your learning and who knows what your educational needs are can make all the difference in the world for a student. To find that perfect tutor though, you need to create a strategy for your search, rather than just pick someone at random.

This is your chance to expose yourself to that culture and contribute in the most meaningful way possible. The teaching projects require a commitment of at least one month. This is your chance to make that dream reality and start as a volunteer teacher in a country where you can learn a new language as well!
ESL online teaching jobs come with a flexible schedule and can be either full-time or part-time. So, while you will usually have the freedom to set your own working schedule, it is strongly recommended that you make yourself available for online English lessons during peak times (early morning, evenings and weekends for online ESL teachers based in the United States and Canada) as much as possible in order to maximize your earning potential.

I like to consider myself the perpetual student. I love to learn new things and this passion has helped me to develop a strong love for teaching. I graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry with a Minor in Spanish.  I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in Chemistry.  During my five years in graduate school, I worked as a Teaching Assistant.  I have taught several different chemistry courses and tutored many students at a variety of levels. I have also had the privilege to tutor many students in a variety of subjects, ranging from Chemistry to French Language Courses to ACT prep.  I have received the Kevin Cull Memorial Teaching Awa ... 'Module 5: Online Assessment Strategies' discusses the notions of formative and summative assessment in online contexts. We will also explore benefits and considerations that you'll need to keep in mind if you're considering adopting an online assessment strategy in your own teaching, and how using technology can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the assessment process. 'Module 6: Online Resources' discusses the benefits of using open educational resources (OER), and other online resources in your classes. We will also identify issues to be aware of when using resources that you discover, in terms of licensing and Creative Commons. You will be given the chance to explore several examples of online resources via the activities and associated resources for the module. How to evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of resources you find online is also explored.

Princeton’s initiative in online education seeks to apply the lessons from decades of empirical research that has consistently established correlations between high student engagement and academic success. How can new online course environments and tools be used to create opportunities for heightening the interaction between faculty and their students in both online and classroom environments? What new forms of evidence do online learning tools produce that can help us study and identify effective strategies for teaching and learning?
To narrow the results by subject area, look under the Navigation box in the right-hand column. Scroll down to find the appropriate subject category under Latest Adjunct Job Postings. Also in the right-hand column is a link to the searchable version of the job board. This is particularly useful because not all of the jobs posted on this site are online positions, so you can use "online teaching" and related keywords to narrow down your results.
With the continued growth of online job opportunities, many people will find that the information found online can often be cluttered or misleading. While several sites try to feed readers with false information regarding online job opportunities and unreasonable salaries for little to no work, working your way around that clutter may be a challenge.
“TEFL” is the acronym for Teaching English as a Foreign Language, or simply, English language instruction for non-native speakers. Also known as Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or English Language Teaching (ELT), the field of TEFL/TESOL is one of the fastest growing educational fields in the world, presenting thousands of excellent professional opportunities in all corners of the globe to native and fluent English speakers who achieve their TEFL/TESOL certification. These terms are essentially interchangeable in the international English teaching market, our certifications list both terms.

Right now, they probably hate everything that has to do with chemistry. They are struggling with their class and having a hard time putting it all together. What they need now is the right guidance from someone who understands the course materials which is what you will be getting with our chemistry tutoring. If pursuing a degree in chemistry or a related field floats your boat, you might find yourself sinking right now. In high school you never really had any issues with this type of work but not it is getting a lot more challenging and creating several obstacles for you to jump over. Along with that, there are several other things that you have to balance on top of your classes. So you might be feeling overwhelmed and in search of a way out. But what you need to do is take a few deep breaths and reevaluate. These are just a few of the things you will have to overcome while you are in school and then when you start working. You do not want to quit, especially if the chemistry is something that you are passionate about. You need to put in the work with someone who has been where you are. A “chemistry tutor near me” is what you should be searching for to get ahead.
If that’s you, your first step to preparing is familiarizing yourself with the technology you need to instruct the class, including all the functions you may need and actions you’ll perform. Do you know how to present a slideshow? Share your screen? Transfer controls to a student who’s giving a presentation? Check with your tech team to be sure you understand how to perform the basic functions of your class.
Our online tutoring programs and curriculum are unmatched in the industry – not only due to their years of development, but because of our unbelievable tutors. Our tutors are certified professionals, meaning your student gets the perfect tutor every time. Our tutors work on our advanced platform with your student in the comfort of your own home on a schedule that is convenient for you!

I forgot to also share that I will be starting work with On Point as an Advocacy Coordinator too. It sounds like a great job that helps our fellow Americans keep informed about political issues. On Point is the voice of the average citizens that may have an opinion to share with their politicians but have no way of knowing how to contact them. On Point makes sure those voices get heard. In orientation the trainer said she will be hiring agents again around the middle of June. If you have good writing skills and are a good conversationalist then you may want to check it out. It also seems like if you put forth a little effort, you can make decent wages with them and they do pay weekly. I’m not big into politics but excited about this new venture.

I have an M.S. in computational organic chemistry from Oregon State University and I’m an alumnus of UMass Amherst. I’m a published author with over six years of teaching and tutoring experience. Organic chemistry is unique in the way that first principles build on each other throughout the course. I am an expert at breaking chemistry down into fundamental concepts so that students I work with can spend less time memorizing, and more time understanding. Nobody can make organic chemistry “easy” or provide a magic bullet to get you an “A” but I can equip you with the tools to make it possible. I’ve helped hundreds of students over the years. Here are a couple of nice things people have written about me:

All is forgiven and Jason moves on to write further plays as Linda eases back into teaching and regaining her reputation. Sometime later, Linda runs into Jason's father at her favourite bookshop. They catch up over coffee and both realise they'd totally misread each other previously. Grateful for all Linda has done for his son, and pleasantly surprised they have much more in common than previously thought, Tom, in spite of any remaining awkwardness, invites Linda on a further proper date. She, somewhat hesitantly, accepts the invitation.

Hi, my name's Art, I started teaching ESL 34 years ago in Salamanca Spain, then continued part-time while also teaching Spanish as a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University where I received an M.A. in Hispanic Literature in 1988. I left another career about 7 years ago when my Venezuelan wife and I moved back to her home country, and there I also happily returned to my first career of teaching ESL. I began teaching there at the university level at the Universidad Arturo Michelena, but then realized I felt called to tutoring one student at a time. A few days ago, at the urging of the US embassy in Venezuela, my wife and I returned to the USA. The good news for students is that we have 100-122 Mega speed internet so the audio and video are of excellent quality! ---Many of my students were/are preparing for TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, NATO, or Trinity exams etc. so I have experience helping there. I got to module 3 of 5 with the ICAL TEFL institute based in London for certification in TEFL, but then realized that those courses are aimed primarily at classroom teaching methods, and have little relevance to one-on-one tutoring. If you want to know my qualifications, I suggest reading the comments of my students. They are the best judges of tutor quality. If you need help with exam preparation, CV editing, job interviews, pronunciation, presentations, etc. I'd be glad to help. Best of luck to you in your English studies, and remember never get discouraged. The key is hard work, and lots of patience and determination. Cheers!

I love to be helpful to people, and I love to help students improve their performance in classes and on tests. I have an excellent track record of strong performances in graded classes and on standardized tests. I am confident that I can help any student take their performance to the next level in any of several academic subject areas, especially math and chemistry, and on standardized tests.... I learn first. That is, I learn a student's learning style and barriers to improved performance. Then, I cater my approach to that learning style and offer ways to overcome those barriers.
As much as it pains me to write this, my advice is to find a different career. It's not that being a professor is so bad--there are many good things about the job, including a certain amount of flexibility of schedule and the experience of going to work and learning alongside colleagues and students each day--but the job market is just. so. bad. Odds are that you will labor for 6 years to obtain a PhD in English, all the while earning very little money and going into debt, and when you graduate you will be unable to get a tenure-line job--even if you are a gifted teacher, even if you are a talented writer, even if you are a superstar. If you do get a tenure-line job you will find yourself working long hours but earning far less money than do others with advanced degrees, and you will find that the realities of the profession are out of line with what you imagine the profession to be. I once believed that I would have the leisure to think and to write--that's what professors do, right? Not so much. When I was much younger I even imagined that I would spend some time each day sitting under a tree and reading a book. I'm serious! I thought that. My life bears zero resemblance to the fantasy. The ground under the trees is always a little wet, and there's too much of a glare on my laptop to work outside.
We teach all subjects locally in Rocklin. We have college educated tutors who are trained in Common Core and who work face to face with students with a low 3:1 ratio or less, depending on availability, so you receive all the attention you deserve. We have programs in reading, writing, and math (all levels) and offer homework help in all subjects. Welcome to personal and professional help!
Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom who hasn’t done any office work in a while or you’re 18 and just started college, you may worry the work-at-home life isn’t for you. Not because you don’t have the time or the temperament. But because you’re worried you don’t have enough experience to land a work-from-home job or, if you do, that the work won’t be easy enough to slip in around a long day with the kids or all your classes.

These little jobs are done by people who log on to a company’s site and choose tasks, which could be as simple as clicking a link. Amazon's Mechanical Turk is one of the most well-known sites of this type. Also, there are crowdsourcing projects, which are similar to data entry, where companies engage an army of virtual workers to each do one small part of a larger project.
How to Get It: Begin with sites like UserTesting.com, YouEye.com and Userlytics.com. Register with multiple companies for opportunities to test as many websites as possible. Once you're in the system, you'll be emailed when testers are needed, and if you're one of the first to respond, expect to spend 15 to 20 minutes completing the test. Many sites require a microphone and/or webcam, which are built into most laptops—but if you need to buy one, they aren't expensive. The tester sites typically pay within a week or two via PayPal.
Thus, when a student spends an hour with a Growing Stars online tutor, the tutor would have invested more than one hour for that student. Our teacher knows the students’ strengths and weaknesses and, unlike instant tutors who think of that day’s homework only, works for the long-term success of the student. Instant tutors may change frequently making it difficult for them to analyze the areas that needs focus for a steady academic improvement. A Growing Stars tutor builds a good rapport with the student, helping instill in the student a desire to learn.
Despite living in a tech-forward world that allows us all to be interconnected entrepreneurs, jumping into the online tutoring pool with both feet can be an overwhelming task — largely due to problems potential and current online tutors are pointing out. Both tutors with online tutoring experience and those without recognize the same three hurdles preventing the industry from developing any faster: technical issues, lack of personal connection with a student, and marketing.
