When you begin submitting material to Udemy you are paired with an advisor/judge who will approve or decline your course material for content, sound, and video quality. Most of what Phil Ebiner mentions here I learned from my Udemy administrator. So, once you begin you will get most of what he shares here for FREE and with much greater detail.

Tutors want to teach in a way their students best understand, so it’s important that you not be passive during your sessions. If your tutor’s style isn’t working for you, speak up and say so. If certain activities make it hard for you to stay focused, let your tutor know so you can try a different format in a future lesson. Your tutor can’t make changes if you don’t voice your concerns.

This author has obviously done a few courses, but since the lack of editing reads like a first draft, this book was difficult to read. I read over half of the book before I could not take the constant affiliate links to his "how to" program, but when there were a dozen type o's in a row, I quit reading. Phil, I am sorry for my candor. I hope you edited your videos better than you edited your book. You could have had a really great book here, instead you have what seems like a half baked marketing tool to gain organic traffic to your courses so you can achieve a higher commission. (Instructors get higher commission for bringing in their own students - which is why he has a link to his course on every page)
Now selling textbooks for fellow students is another story. You can easily make some extra money from each textbook sold (you set a percentage or set fee per book). As time allows, you can even scout online book prices and buy/sell during the prime textbook season (before the start of each new semester). You don’t have to limit yourself to locally supplied textbooks in this case.

Parents typically wish to book many months of lessons upfront. Though you set your own availability and schedule, teachers with consistent availability to teach in the same time slots week to week for several months will get the most bookings. This is based on the parents’ preference for the same teacher to instruct their child for the duration of their 5 month course. If teachers continue to be available thereafter, some parents may even wish to book him or her for an additional 5 months for their child’s second course. From my own experience, I’ve used Textbroker to make quick cash for bills. They pay every week on Fridays and if you work a lot every day, you can usually have a substantial amount accumulated by the end of the week — definitely more than the $10 cash out threshold. The only bad thing there is you never know how much work they’ll have up to grab from the order board. But I would say that for me Textbroker has been an excellent source for getting bill money together when I need it quick. Amazon Mturk is another idea. You can cash out there at just $1 and it transfers to your bank account. There is an entire sub-forum about Mturk over at the Work Place Like Home forum where people discuss the best tasks to accept to make the most money. Mturk has a reputation for being just an extra money option, but I know for a fact there are some people making more than just extra money over there.
