'Module 5: Online Assessment Strategies' discusses the notions of formative and summative assessment in online contexts. We will also explore benefits and considerations that you'll need to keep in mind if you're considering adopting an online assessment strategy in your own teaching, and how using technology can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the assessment process. 'Module 6: Online Resources' discusses the benefits of using open educational resources (OER), and other online resources in your classes. We will also identify issues to be aware of when using resources that you discover, in terms of licensing and Creative Commons. You will be given the chance to explore several examples of online resources via the activities and associated resources for the module. How to evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of resources you find online is also explored.
For students, online courses, both MOOC and blended residential classes, provide a flexible learning environment, highly engaging learning activities, and an opportunity collaborate with students beyond Princeton’s campus. Students can access online lectures at any time, giving them the option to review them both before and after class meetings at their own pace. Many students have found online course modules to be more focused and efficient ways of learning. An online course environment can also offer opportunities to create and submit work in novel formats, such as blogs, videos, and presentations. This allows students to participate in learning in new ways that can encourage their engagement in class activities.

They are then given questions to address and/or tasks to perform, such as registering on a website and then providing feedback online. Reviews usually take about 15-20 minutes and earn typically about $10 each. After completing a review, testers are not paid until the client accepts their feedback. Work can be rejected and unpaid for technical problems, lack of detail, or other issues the client determines.
