That doesn’t mean the job is legitimate (or the recruiter is who he claims to be). You should always do your due diligence on both the recruiter and the job. Conduct research online to see if you can find out any info on the recruiter/hiring manager to determine if they are indeed a real person. You should be able to find an online trail verifying the person, and, if not, you may want to reconsider moving forward with the job process.
Answer: In addition to teaching in US schools, English teachers are in high demand overseas. There are many programs that connect recent English graduates with school districts abroad for beginning teaching experience. English teachers may also find job opportunities in the private sector tutoring and coaching English language learners for multi-national corporations.
While you don’t necessarily need much experience to become a researcher, earning the best pay comes from specializing in an area you have some expertise in. Parents typically wish to book many months of lessons upfront. Though you set your own availability and schedule, teachers with consistent availability to teach in the same time slots week to week for several months will get the most bookings. This is based on the parents’ preference for the same teacher to instruct their child for the duration of their 5 month course. If teachers continue to be available thereafter, some parents may even wish to book him or her for an additional 5 months for their child’s second course. We offer supplemental fees for repeat bookings, usually a fee of $1.00 per hour ($.50 per class) when you teach the same student each week.
